1950's Vendo 81 Coca Cola Embossed Round-Top Soda Machine FULLY RESTORED
1950's Vendo 81 Coca Cola Embossed Round-Top Soda Machine. Here is one of the most, if not THE most desirable soda machines for a home gameroom. It is an original Coca Cola embossed model! If youre familiar with 1950s soda machines, you know that this is probably the most desirable model to acquire.

No soda machine collection can be complete without an embossed Coca Cola Model 81. Not only will this machine allow you to vend original soda bottles, but it will also accommodate most 12 ounce beer bottles! Almost all long neck bottles will vend fine through this machine, accommodated by the adjustable shelves. The only ones that MAY not work are those with wide bottles that may not fit through the vending holes on the left side. The machine vends a total of 81 bottles, with nine on each of the nine shelves.

So, theoretically, you can have NINE different selections to offer. This machine will be a nice addition to any gameroom and is sure have continual use! Even just sitting idle, it is sure to draw a lot of attention to itself due to its great look! But I saved the best news for last, it is getting ICE COLD and has been cosmetically FULLY RESTORED in its recent past. The result is that you can get it home, place it in any prominent location in your home, plug it in, and ENJOY ice cold drinks!

It doesnt get any better or any easier than that! Although this machine is technically unshopped, it is working very well.

The compressor is cooling the inside ice cold with the thermostat working well in cycling it on and off to maintain the temperature. Currently, it is cycling from about 28 to 38 degrees inside and could be made even cooler, if you wanted. There is still room on the thermostat to set it colder!

Needless to say, the cooling system is working GREAT! You can adjust the thermostat whichever way you want, though, if that temperature range doesn't work for you. Mechanically, the machine is also complete and fully working. All nine shelves are in place and are adjustable depending on the size of the bottle that they will be feeding.

The bottle stack on the left side is also complete and has its ratchet assembly in place. The original coin mech is in place that accepts either a dime or two nickels for a bottle. It is sometimes sticky and may need to be cleaned in order to be working perfectly, but in the meantime, it is working well, just not 100% of the time. The bottle opener, metal cap catcher, and vending handle are also all in place. The metal coin box is also in place to catch your coins. The coin door lock and latching assembly are also in place with a working key. The handle that locks the door in place onto the main cabinet is also in place and works well. The coin door includes its chrome Vendo coin entry bezel assembly, chromed coin return bezel, and stainless steel bottle opener bezel.

All of them, along with the chrome bottle door handle and vending handle are in great shape. There is a LITTLE bit of oxidation on some of the chrome surfaces, but Im guessing that they should all buff out very well, if you wanted. Left the way they are, they all still look very nice.

The clear window bottle access door is in nice shape with complete top and bottom plexi-glasses. Even the Enjoy a Coke round button is in place in the middle of the door!

This model of machine also has a lighted access door opening by means of a florescent bulb that runs along its length on the right side. This bulb is lighting well and really gives the machine a nice look in a darkened room!

The translucent cover in front of the bulb in the door is in great shape, too! Inside, all nine shelves are in place along with all mechanical cooling features. All are nice and clean and have been cosmetically restored!

The shelves and inside of the tub have been powder coated and look FANTASTIC! The backside of the door has its plastic door skin in place which looks nearly new, along with a near perfect instruction/loading label. The main cabinet of the machine has been cosmetically restored and looks EXCELLENT!

This is the more desirable two-tone paint scheme with a stainless steel trim strip separating the two colors. It also has nice contrasting pin stripe colors vertically along the sides and across the top as an extra wow factor. If you look really hard, you can find a few VERY small nicks, chips and scratches, but youll be hard pressed to find any with just a cursory look. For a machine that is used, this is about as close to perfect as you could hope to find. You can place this machine in any prominent location in your home and it will instantly become the star attraction that you wont be able to take your eyes off.

It looks that nice and has a nice look to it, especially with the lighted selection door! Both of the 10 Cents decals, along with the Have a Coke decals on the sides, the hand holding the bottle on the front, and the Bottle Opener and Coin Return decals are also in fantastic shape! As mentioned, the Drink Coca-Cola in Bottles lettering on the top of the front door is all embossed as is the Vendo lettering on the bottom right corner of the front door! The stainless steel kick plate on the bottom front of the machine is also in great condition.

Sturdy casters have been added to all four corners of the machine on the bottom and they make it VERY easy to move the machine around, if you find the need. My preference is to work with a company that provides door to door service which handles all of the wrapping, loading, and hauling. You can get this machine home and with no, or only VERY minor adjustments, start using it like it was intended! ICE COLD is how most people like their beverages and this machine will accommodate that desire very quickly! Because this machine has already been mechanically and cosmetically restored, you dont have to do anything before you start to enjoy not only looking at it, but using it.

You wont be disappointed in this machine! The cooling system is working great and gets the bottles ICE COLD!

This is your chance to get a WORKING Vendo 81 Coca Cola soda machine that offers everything that most people want in a home-use machine: 1950's rounded upper corners, a nice two-tone paint and decal scheme with embossed lettering at the top of the front door, and a visible lighted bottle access door to assess your choice of nine beverages. This is a nice opportunity to add a desirable, collectible, and NEAR PERFECT 1950's soda machine to your gameroom and/or collection!
