I have spoken with 3 different departments at Coca-Cola corporate, since I could not find another 55-year pin anywhere. Each department was impressed that this pin was found, since there werent many issued, & that it was still in NEW condition. They verified that Coca-Cola corporate would have absolutely sanctioned and awarded this service pin. I have spoken to OC Tanner to confirm the EMB designation and that it is indeed their pin. Based on when this pin was acquired, the recipient/employee would have worked for Coca-Cola from 1964 or EARLIER. We are not saying the pin, itself, is 55 years old or older, BUT IT COULD BE VERY OLD. We do not know how old it is. Regardless, even Coca-Cola said they have issued very few of these. We have not found another one anywhere and have searched extensively, even reaching out to Coca-Cola collectors/enthusiasts. He has written the description and set the price. He holds a degree in Fine Arts with a minor in metals. Hes been an avid collector for decades and is trying to clear out his collections because hes always adding new items; space to display or store becomes an issue.
