Coca-Cola history began in 1886 when the curiosity of an Atlanta pharmacist, Dr. He created a flavored syrup, took it to his neighborhood pharmacy, where it was mixed with carbonated water and deemed excellent by those who sampled it... Pembertons partner and bookkeeper, Frank M. Robinson, are credited with naming the beverage CocaCola as well as designing the trademarked, distinct script, still used today..... These are often referred to as airline coolers because they were taken on board of small passenger planes to serve cold Cokes to the passengers during flights, which held 10 bottles of coke. The Coca-Cola Company and Delta Airlines are both based in Atlanta, Georgia and have been partners since the 1930s, supplying Coke to Delta passengers.P erfect find for the serious collector... This has been in our home since I was a child.
My parents would pack it up when we went on week-end rides & on vacation. It is totally original with "NO" restoration.
Their are noticeable scratches an minor dents, but this is totally original and in great shape! Dimensions: 12.50" in height with handle x 18.50" in length with bottle opener and 6.78 in width with silver stainless steel handle & latches! This is a fantastic collectible!
